Dear Parent/Carer,
The new Head Teacher has been appointed. His name is Richard McGowan and he is currently Depute Head Teacher at Cumbernauld Academy in North Lanarkshire.
He was chosen at the end of a two stage interview and assessment process which involved our Parent Council and our School Captains as well as the Heads of Education.
Mr. McGowan will take up his post on August 11th and I am sure he will introduce himself to you at the earliest opportunity. I know that you will offer him the same great support that you have given me over the last eight years and I wish him every success.
